'Rise Of The Tomb Raider' DLC: 'Baba Yaga: The Temple Of The Witch' Well Recieved By Critics
A recently released "Rise of the Tomb Raider" DLC was a big hit not only to gamers but also to video game critics.
Widely considered as one of the best games of 2015, "Rise of the Tomb Raider" once again raised the bar in action-adventure video game with the release of the "Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch" DLC.
According to Game Revolution, the new downloadable content is the first to feature narrative beats. This time Lara Croft, the game's protagonist, is helping out a native while uncovering a new area called the Wicked Vale.
The "Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch" DLC was released just two months after the main "Rise of the Tomb Raider" game hit the shelves. The new DLC gives players at least three hours of mini campaign that introduces new characters and new areas, both filled with adrenaline-fueled action sequences.
Just like the original game, the new DLC is structured in a bizarrely similar way. Gamers will encounter a few puzzles, engage in a few climbing obstacles and the ever recurring memories of Lara's dead father, according to PC Gamer.
The only difference is the presentation. Unlike the original game, the "Baba Yaga: Temple of the Witch" DLC presents some sequences in a rather psychedelic way.
Different from most video game DLCs in the market, the latest "Rise of the Tomb Raider" DLC is a notch above the rest. It not only offers new settings and obstacles, but also a whole new concept of presentation which is highlighted by somewhat drug-induced phase.
The length of the DLC is a bit shorter, considering that the main game is a triple-A title which requires a lot of hours in order to complete. However, the scale of presentation relieves this flaw as it puts players into a completely different perspective.
The new "Rise of the Tomb Raider" DLC can be downloaded for $9.99.
