The Corrs Actively Gearing Up For New Album! Sharon And Andrea Discuss Details
Will the famous 90s Irish band, The Corrs, finally release a new album this year?
While the family of musicians has decided to step away from the music scene for over a decade now, rumors and speculations of a comeback have become rampant.
According to Malton Mercury, Andre and Sharon Corr have gamely shared input on their reported new album.
While updating their fans of what have been keeping them busy for the past decade, Sharon Corr did tease fans of The Corrs of their impending return to the music industry.
"We never sort of decided to stop or quit as a band," Sharon said of their comeback. "We've had eight children between us in the mean time so that kind of takes up 10 years so I think we were sort of entitled to it after sort of 15 years of being on the road."
"But music is part of the fabric of us. It is absolutely who we are. This is what we do, so it's not really a revelation from that point of view if you know what I mean. This is what we do so we're just doing it."
Additionally, Andrea claimed that The Corrs has even asked fellow Irish and U2 frontman, Bono, to hear their new songs, RTE reported.
"He has heard it all," Andrea said of Bono hearing songs from The Corrs' new album. "We're very fortunate to have him as a friend and also in certain ways a bodyguard. I will often go to him with, 'what do you think of this?'. He has been so supportive and really loves the record."
"I'm really happy when it's positive because also I know he'd tell me the truth if he didn't like it, I'd be hearing all about it, so it's a hell of a compliment."
