Lily Rose Clarifies Issue On Her Sexuality; Johnny Depp's Daughter 100% Straight!
Johnny Depp's daughter, Lily Rose, recently opened up about her sexuality as she claimed that her previous statements about being gay were misinterpreted by the press.
The teenage daughter of American actor Johnny Depp and French singer Vanessa Paradis found herself in the spotlight following an interview she did in August last year.
Lily Rose had posed for a photo series campaign primarily centered on people who don't consider themselves "100 percent straight." The 16-year-old model clarified that she was just trying to make a statement about the dangers of being stuck on the label.
"That was really misconstrued, that whole thing," said young Depp, as reported by Sugar Scape.
"A lot of people took it as me coming out, but that's not what I was trying to do. I was literally doing it just to say that you don't have to label your sexuality. It's not that big of a deal," she added.
Lily Rose Depp believes that people should not be too stuck with the issue of sexuality, regardless of whether they are straight or gay.
"If you like something one day then you do, and if you like something else the other day, it's whatever," Depp stated, as reported by People. "You don't have to label yourself, because it's not set in stone.
"It's so fluid and there's so much pressure on kids to label themselves and say 'This is what I am, this is what I like.'"
Lily Rose Depp quelled all doubts about her sexuality by saying that she came off the wrong way, and was mistakenly labeled as gay by everyone in the process.
However, Johnny Depp's daughter quickly added that there is nothing wrong with being gay, and that shouldn't be used as a label of identification.
Lily Rose was joined by her friend and co-star in "Yoga Hosers," Harley Quinn Smith for the interview where the girls also talked about the most embarrassing advice their fathers had given them, according to Mail Online.
