Instagram exploded with several users liking and posting photos of the new foodie trend.

It's so colourful and fun-looking that several people likened it to experiencing magic and seeing unicorns.

One user talked about how "elegant-looking" the rainbow bagels in NYC was.

"The new rainbow bagels are the most elegant looking things I have ever seen," the caption read. "I hope I'm a rainbow bagel in my next life #rainbowbagel."

"Eat your unicorn lovin' heart out," another posted.

"This must be what unicorns and mermaids eat right!?" One more Instagram user wondered.

Stuffed with some Funfetti cream cheese filling, the unique bread was dubbed as "the most beautiful bagel in the world."

The Bagel Store didn't stop at making it look incredibly fun to eat. It collaborated with another restaurant to create a limited edition burger.

The Baroness recently introduced "The Last Unicorn" featuring the famous rainbow bagel in NYC stuffed with a savory burger brisket!

"This tastes as crazy good as is looks! Don't be shy... Taste the Rainbow!" An Instagram snap of the juicy looking collaboration burger was captioned.

The Bagel Store's delightful twist on a classic favorite may have only come into the limelight in the past few days, Business Insider reported that the shop's owner, Scot Rossillo, has been making the rainbow bagels in NYC for close to two decades already.

Meanwhile, INSIDER Food recently made a video of how they are made.

"A tremendous amount of discipline is required to make the world's most beautiful bagel," Rossillo shared in the clip. "And this is what we do down here."

According to Time Out, the rainbow bagel's dough is "given a neon color before being shaped into mounds."

"The different colored mounds are then flattened, layered, sliced and rolled into the long pieces that actually make the whimsical treat," the article continued.

It turns out, the Instagram-ready treats aren't easy to make. To make 100 rainbow bagels, the store has to spend as much time as it takes to create 1000 normal bagels.
