Elizabeth Banks can't seem to contain her excitement over playing villain Rita Repulsa in the "Power Rangers" revival as she took to Twitter to share a line by her character.

"Finally! After 10,000 years! I am free! Time to conquer Earth!" the actress and director said on her Twitter account on Wednesday.

The said statement is the opening lines of the first evil nemesis of the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" 90s opening theme.

The tweet strengthens speculations that the popular American adaptation of the Japanese sentai show would be getting a reboot soon, 2017 to be exact.

Banks joins a lesser-known batch of the members of the titular "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" played by Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G., Dacre Montgomery and Ludi Lin.

The Fox Kids series was popular in the early 90s, with the television show starting in 1993 and the first "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" movie released in 1995.

Variety.com said that the film will be the first in a franchise of Power Rangers films. And with more than 20 iterations of the Super Sentai adaptations, ideas will not be hard to come by for the guys at Lionsgate.

E! Online wrote that it would be a good idea to cast Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa in "Power Rangers," since the actress has shown her acting chops in films like "The Hunger Games" and "The Uninvited."

However, The Mary Sue said casting Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa could be a bad idea, citing the diversity of the acting role previously held by Machiko Soga and Carla Perez.

"The casting of Elizabeth Banks feels like a step backwards as a result," The Mary Sue wrote about the upcoming "Power Rangers" movie.

In any case, fans of the 90s kids television show have much to look forward to until the March 2017 release date.
