'Rick And Morty' Spoilers: Release Date Still Not Confirmed; Old Characters To Return In Season 3?

Not long after Adult Swim announced the renewal of the hit adult animated television series "Rick and Morty" for its third season, there have been several spoilers making rounds in the headlines about what might possibly be in store for the characters as the new chapter finally takes place.

As the news about the upcoming "Rick and Morty" season 3 keep spurring on the Internet, fans of the series are also on the lookout for the official release date to be announced. However, the showrunners have not yet disclosed any specific details regarding the release date and who among the characters will return in the new season.

According to the recent spoilers, more of the old characters from the previous "Rick and Morty" seasons are slated to come back and will add up to the roller-coaster ride stories of the main characters. As for the much awaited release, rumor has it that the series will be out some time in 2017 or a year after.

"We've got a lot of little loose sweater threads we've sprinked throughout seasons one and two that we're going to come back and tie in a nice little bow in subsequent seasons." Justin Roiland said during the Comic Con.

The predictions about the 2017 release date first sparked when Mr. Poopy Butthole from the credits of "Rick and Morty" season 2, said that the show will be hitting the TV screens once again after "a year and a half, or more."

Though the show has only dropped limited hints about the third season since its announcement, show creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon did not miss out teasing the viewers about what's next in the line following the aftermath of the last season's finale episode, wherein Rick turned himself over the Galactic Federation.

"I don't think anybody wants to do a third season that simply spends a whole bunch of episodes dealing with a situation that we created at the end of the second season," said Harmon, according to Den of Geek.

As to who among the well-embraced characters will return in "Rick and Morty" season 3, it still remains a hanging a question. However, reports claimed that the fans are expecting to see Mr. Meeseeks, Evil Eyepatch Morty, and Snuffles from the Dog World to come into view once again.
