'Ray Donovan' Spoilers: Season 4 To Focus On Ray's Past?

The hit crime drama television series "Ray Donovan" will soon come into view for its fourth season, and while the fans are still processing the intense turn of events from the last season's finale episode, the series has been dropping limited hints about what's next in the line for Liev Schreiber's character as Ray Donovan.

"Ray Donovan" season 4 has been renewed even before the third season was fully wrapped up for airing. Though the renewal for a new instalment was announced earlier than expected, the showrunners have only revealed limited details about the series' plotlines.

As noted by the latest spoilers, "Ray Donovan" season 4 will use most of its episodes to scrutinize Ray Donovan's past and his desire to face it.

Hollywood Reporter quoted, "But that desire is going to lead him into a new form of relationship, a relationship that is going to open up his life personally and professionally in yet another large city," said showrunner David Hollander.

Hollander added that the upcoming season will mark many new beginnings for Ray Donovan and the rest of the characters. While the new chapter is said to be on point to the series' main character, a series of events will still make an impact to every member of his family.

"There will be new situations, a new family dynamic, and along the way that will really impact every member of his family and in a strange way conflates with Mickey again." he said.

In the previous season, Ray's wife Abby Donovan and his older brother Terry Donovan were shown flirting and acting up a bit intimate.

Though it can probably spice up the viewers' interest on the succeeding episodes, "Ray Donovan" season 4 could not promise Terry and Abby's intimate relationship to push through.

According to TV Line, it has been hinted that Terry will be less of a lover and more of a friend for Abby in the next season. Terry will become somebody whom Abby could lean on to and he will keep it that way to avoid conflicts. 

As to whether or not Abby will do whatever Terry's decision is, it still remains a hanging question. While the release date is still yet to be announced, the showrunners assure that "Ray Donovan" season 4 is surely another roller-coaster ride for all the characters.
