John Oliver Pokes Fun At Haters In 'Last Week Tonight' Season 3 Trailer; Host To Make An Important Announcement

As the upcoming season of the hit television program "Last Week Tonight" with Jonh Oliver comes closer to its official premiere date, a new trailer video was released wherein the comedian-host was shown seemingly poking fun at all his haters.

The newest "Last Week Tonight" promo came into view with Oliver in the video, sitting on his desk in an all-white room while looking up at a raised spinning platform which appeared as graphic elements on the screen.

Oliver's chair was spinning alongside a huge voice background of the narrator, saying "Brace yourselves, America, and get ready for the return of the most authorative voice of all news."

Following a brief introduction, Oliver then turned around and said his awkward "Hello" while brushing off some humor which pushed through until the end of the trailer video.

"The Wall Street Journal says it 'makes people dumb," said the narrator in reference to the publishing site's 2014 report with its headline titled, "John Oliver Makes People Dumb." Oliver laughed next to first platform and jokingly said, "Be honest, do you really disagree with that?"

Reports claimed that the news site criticized the TV host after he had discussed about net neutrlity in one episode of "Last Week Tonight" with John Oliver. The next one is a diss for presidential candidate Donald Trump, whom Oliver had a minor feud with in 2015.

Besides Trump, the trailer video did not miss out throwing a shade to Cher, who threw spiteful remarks against Oliver on Twitter. The narrator ended the video with a witty remark, saying "The show will be back despite popular demand on Valentine's Day."

Setting aside the feuds, reports added that John Oliver will be having a long segment to discuss an important issue about women in the third season of "Last Week Tonight." This has something to do with the arguments about abortion rights which would come into view once again this year.

Though he had previously talked about women's rights before, the upcoming "Last Week Tonight" segment, marking the beginning of the season, will be on point to discuss the biggest feminist news story of 2015, the Defund Planned Parenthood movement.

"Last Week Tonight" with John Oliver will be out for season 3 on February 14, Sunday on HBO.
