Rupert Grint Blocked Emma Watson's Kiss, Admits He Did Not Want To Kiss 'Harry Potter' Co-Star

Rupert Grint, who famously played as Ron Weasley, one of the three main characters in the movie series "Harry Potter," has reportedly revealed he did not want to kiss his co-star Emma Watson during their kissing scene.

While this may sound a little off, the 27-year-old actor was quick to state his reasons as to why he was uncomfortable doing a kissing scene with the actress-model, who had played as Hermione Granger in the movie.

Last Friday Grint had openly talked about his famous kissing scene with Watson while attending a Harry Potter Celebration held at Universal Orlando.

"I never look back at that scene," said Grint, according to YorkRegion. "I've known Emma since she was literally 9 years old and we had this very brother-sister relationship. And it just felt very surreal."

While brushing off some humor, he went on saying "I have a memory of her face getting closer and closer. Like, 'Oh my God.' I can't really remember anything apart from that."

Besides admitting the awkward kissing scene they had, adding that they did not even mind practicing the intimate part, it seems like Emma Watson also felt the same ways as Grint.

As she dished out the details about the scene, she said "One take was enough. It was such a huge moment and there was so much expectation. Quiet a lot of pressure actually."

Watson also admitted that the kissing part was quite a challenge as she considers Grint more like a brother to her. Moreover, she went on explaining that she just had to think of her job as an actress and act out the scene well no matter how hard it was.

"Rupert was the weidest. Dan wasn't so bad. I just had to remind myself, 'I am an actress. I am Hermione. This is a role.' But it was really hard. We just have so much history together. They are like my brothers." she said.

She continued, "Dan and I could sort of have a laugh about it. Whereas Rupert's a bit more quiet so I didn't really know what he was thinking which made me a bit more nervous."

Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, and Daniel Radcliffe starred in the "Harry Potter" film series in 2001 as the three leading characters in the story. The seventh and last chapter of the series "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" had two parts, the first one was premiered in 2010 and the second part was released in 2011.
