‘Sailor Moon Crystal’ Season 3 News: Senshis Neptune, Uranus Debut Talisman; Colored Character Art Released!
A new character visual was released for "Sailor Moon Crystal" season 3, which carries the alternate title "Infinity." Meanwhile, news reports revealed that Sailor Nepture and Sailor Uranus will debut their talismans.
According to the this article from fansite Sailor Moon News, Sailor Uranus will be carrying her Space Sword while Sailor Neptune will be wielding her Deep Aqua Mirror in season 3.
"The Space Sword and Deep Aqua Mirror are two of the Talismans that have some importance in this next story arc. Missing is the third Talisman, Sailor Pluto's Garnet Orb. I guess we've seen enough of it with the New Horizons photos of Pluto at this point," it said.
The "Sailor Moon Crystal" season 3 will feature a storyline about the Death Busters as well as the appearance of other big baddies like the Witches 5, Kaolinite and Professor Tomoe. In addition, the "Infinity" arc will introduce Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune and Sailor Saturn.
"The new season will assemble all 10 Senshi - specifically, the popular outer Senshi such as Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, and Sailor Saturn will join Sailor Moon, Sailor Chibi Moon, and the others," reported Anime News Network for "Sailor Moon Crystal" season 3.
"The new season will adapt the arc from the fifth and sixth volumes of the complete edition of Naoko Takeuchi's original Sailor Moon manga."
"Sailor Moon Crystal" will return for season 3 with a new director as Munehisa Sakai will be replaced by Chikai Kon of "Golden Time" and "Nodame Cantabile: Paris." Meanwhile, Yukie Sako will be replaced by Akira Takahashi as the chief character designer.
Fortunately, Yuji Kobayashi is still going to pen the script while Yasuharu Takanashi is returning for the musical score.
At this point, there's not a lot of news with regards to "Sailor Moon Crystal." Probably, more and more details will come out as the premiere date nears, which is likely going to be in spring.
