Several rumors recently surfaced that the story of the upcoming "Star Wars" installment was overhauled. The rumors sound ominous and it led some fans to believe that Hayden Christensen's may have been ditched in "Episode 8."

As "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" continues to rake in the numbers at the box office, many fans are already speculating about what story will the next installment be telling.

The most popular fan speculation involves the character of Hayden Christensen, and how his story will be involved in the current reincarnation of the "Star Wars" franchise, according to Youth Health Magazine.

Some rumors claim that the actor will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker and will appear in "Star Wars Episode 8" playing the good Jedi. While this rumor sounds positive, some fans claim that his character being reborn is a sign of the return of Darth Vader.

The new "Star Wars" franchise is still in its infancy and a lot could still be changed in terms of plot or story.

As reported by Cinema Blend, "While production was meant to get underway very soon, it looks like things may be slightly delayed as the script may be getting one final rewrite before it's screen ready."

While some devoted "Star Wars" fans want the return of their beloved characters from previous incarnations of the movie, a certain faction also wants the upcoming installments to focus on new characters instead of delving back to the past.

The ongoing debate about the upcoming "Star Wars" installment and Hayden Christensen's possible involvement is a major evidence that will cement just how much attention the franchise is getting.

As of this writing, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has already gross $1.871 billion and will continue to rake in once it is released in DVD and Blu-ray.
