It looks like Dakota Johnson and boyfriend Matthew Hitt's relationship is back on again. According to the rumor mill, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" star and the musician were seen leaving the actress' posh New York City apartment just moments apart on Tuesday.
According to the sources, Johnson was spotted leaving her apartment and several minutes thereafter, her on-again boyfriend also left the building. While the guitarist took a quick exit taking wide strides with both hands tucked in his coat pockets, the actress was looked happy as she was smiled on her way out, according to Mail Online.
Hitt was dressed in a black winter coat, black jeans and rugged army boots. On the other hand, Johnson wore a double breasted long dark coat over a red sweater, black skirt and tights.
Dakota Johnson and boyfriend Matthew Hitt dated for a couple of months before they split sometime last summer. As per sources, the duo decided to breakup after the success of "Fifty Shades of Grey."
The musician was reportedly not happy with his girlfriend taking up the racy role of Anastasia Steele. Also, Johnson's sizzling chemistry with on-screen beau Jamie Dornan seemed to have fueled jealousy issues, according to Parent Herald.
Just recently, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" star was thought be enjoying the single life as she was frequently seen alone while taking her dog for a walk. During the recent People's Choice Awards, Dakota Johnson was also without her on-and-off boyfriend Matthew Hitt.
In fact, during the actress' acceptance speech, she failed to mention the musician but thanked on-screen partner Dornan.
"Her life was getting too crazy and it wasn't something that he wanted to be a part of," divulged a source per Fashion & Style.
During one of Johnson's interviews about her role for "Fifty Shades of Grey," she said that she doesn't have any "problem doing anything" as she claimed she has "no shame."
