Guns N' Roses Update: DJ Ashba Happy About Reunion Tour; Tommy Stinton Has No Ties With Band?
When it was confirmed that Guns N' Roses is indeed doing a reunion tour, fans were quick to speculate as to who among the members will join and who will sit the opportunity out. Recent rumors now claim that Tommy Stinson, who joined the band in 1998 as a bass player, will not join the gig.
After Duff McKagan was confirmed to join the tour, Stinson revealed what many originally suspected. It was revealed that he no longer has any ties with the band.
"I think everyone kind of knows where I stand with it all. I left it in a good way. I mean, roughly, I actually had to just start turning down tours because I was unable to tour," Stinson said in an interview with Current.
"I got into a position, personally, where my personal life was going to prevent me from doing, I don't know - it must have been about five tour that they called me to do, and I just can't do 'em."
Stinson stated in several previous interviews that he no longer had any association with some of the band's plans. Even when rumors started to surface about the tour, the bassist dismissed it and repeatedly stated that he has no connection with the band anymore.
But for DJ Ashba, who left the band six months ago, he expressed that he's happy about the Guns N' Roses' decision to hold a reunion tour.
On the other hand, the latest news about the Guns N' Roses reunion tour claim that the band is charging $2,500 for a "Signature VIP Experience."
Despite its massive price tag, the package will not include a meet-and-greet with the three confirmed members who are set to do the show - Axl Rose, Duff McKagan and Slash.
According to Blabbermouth, the package will include one ticket in the first ten rows, a photo on-stage before the show, pre-show cocktails, backstage tour, direct access to a VIP lounge, buffet and drinks. It will also include a signed and numbered limited-edition tour poster.
