Samsung Galaxy S7 Released Date Leaked: Here’s What To Expect From The New Samsung Flagship
With just over a month till the Mobile World Conference 2016 (MWC 16), more details about Samsung's new flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S7, have been leaked to the Web.
Amongst the leaked information is the Samsung Galaxy S7 release date, along with a couple of leaked live images of the device and some key info on the specs.
The source of these leaks is believed to be a company insider, NDTV reported.
The leaks were made public by EVLeaks/Evan Blass, who has time and again proved himself as a reliable source for such insider info.
Evan announced on his Twitter handle (@evleaks) that the Galaxy S7 will be released on March 11, 2016, in the US.
"Starting to look like a Friday, March 11th Galaxy release in the US," he tweeted.
Expectedly, Samsung has not yet confirmed or denied these leaks. So, may be the only way to know for sure is to wait until the company sends out invites for the event, which it hasn't done as of Tuesday evening.
More interestingly, two leaked live images of the Galaxy S7 surfaced online showing the handset in its developing stage courtesy of GSM Arena.
Adding more to the excitement of the waiting fanboys, an unidentified Samsung employee revealed that all variants of the S7 will come with a black chassis when release date finally arrives.
Apparently, the company chose to go with black chassis in order to give the device a premium look.
Ideally, leaks and specs sheet should be taken with a grain of salt. However, everything that has been reveale now seems to point toward same details.
The device is likely to come with a 5.1-inch display (resolution: 2560x1440p), 4GB RAM and either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor or Samsung's own Exonsys 8890.
The alleged decision to downgrade the pixel count of the Galaxy S7 primary camera to 12-MP from the S6's 16-MPmay have surprised some, but the decision was reportedly taken in view of Samsung's growing emphasis on pixel size instead of pixel count.
The camera will probably come equipped with dual pixel autofocus, the same technology Canon has been using in its DSLR camera.
The alleged employee further added that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will flaunt a water and dustproof body and microSD support when the release date arrives.
