Ronda Rousey Gracious On Defeat To Holly Holm; UFC Star Shows Off Dancing Moves On ‘SNL’
Time has indeed dull the pain as Ronda Rousey seems to be more gracious now about her defeat to Holly Holm. Meanwhile, the former UFC women's champ showed off her dancing moves on "SNL."
During the opening spiel as the host of "SNL," Ronda Rousey addressed her lone loss at the hands of Holly Holm.
"This is the first time I'm talking to my fans since I lost to Holly Holm in November, which, by the way, was a fight Holly deserved to win," she said. "And I just wanted to take a minute to sincerely congratulate her."
She also joked during the monologue, "I'm excited to be here because it's the first time I'll be live on television without getting punched in the face."
Ronda Rousey's demeanor at the "SNL" was a far cry from her attitude right after she was knocked out by Holly Holm last year, handing her only defeat in her career.
"I need to come back," she told ESPN in an interview published on Nov. 27. "I need to beat this chick. Who knows if I'm going to pop my teeth out or break my jaw or rip my lip open. I have to f**king do it."
"[How I'm remembered is] all going to be determined by what happens in the rematch," Rousey told Shelburne. "Everything is going to be determined by that. Either I'll win and keep going or I won't and I'll be done with everything."
The rematch between Holly Holm and Ronda Rousey has yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, E! News complimented Ronda Rousey for her dancing skills on "SNL."
"Her monologue then turned into a mock fight, with cast member Kenan Thompson, 37, playing her coach," it said. "Rousey then joined the other stars as they played backup dancers to musical guest Selena Gomez, 23, who performed part of her hit 'Come & Get It.'"
