Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Review: Hybrid Tablet Gets New Features; Gold Surface Pen Introduced!

The reviews for the Micrsoft Surface Pro 4 has been mixed, with others saying it is better than the iPad and other users thinking otherwise.
The unit has emerged as a rival against Apple's iPad Pro, but according to the writeups and user reviews, the said unit is heavier that its opposing product. After the initial glitches, there have been certain updates rolled out for the device after which it had started working properly.
"We're excited to announce that the most powerful versions yet of Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 are now on sale in the United States and Canada," an official statement from Microsoft's blog post read. "These products feature 1TB of storage with 6th Generation Intel Core i7 processors and 16GB of RAM for the ultimate in performance and versatility."
Pre-orders for the surface hybrid have started last October of 2015 and the devices are currently on sale at the company's online stores.
According to Enid Tsui of SCMP, the new device aims to make laptops obsolete. "The Surface Pro 4 is a tablet computer, albeit one that Microsoft claims can make conventional laptops a thing of the past," he wrote. "With these so-called hybrid laptops - tablets with detachable keyboards - the software giant hopes to finally crack the computer hardware market."
Similar to other hybrids, the surface pro 4 can be combined with a lightweight keyboard. It has a metal kickstand that holds a full-size backlit keyboard that makes typing comfortable.
This Windows-10-powered device comes with a choice of Intel Core M, i5 or i7 processors. It has a screen of 12.3 inches, bigger than that of its predecessors. Moreso, It has an 8 MP rear facing camera and a screen resolution of 267 ppi.
In addition to the device's laptop configurations, the company is also releasing a new gold surface pen. It is a colourful complement to the device that can be used for creativity and productivity by offering 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity for ultimate doodling and writing experience. It has an eraser function as well.
"The gold version of the pen costs the exact same as the pen's other colors, so you'll be able to look a little glitzier when you're drawing on your 2-in-1 convertible without breaking the bank," a review from David Murphy of PCMag read.
As to the price, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is currently being sold for $2699 via the company's online store.
