'The Man In The High Castle' Season 2 Will Explore Countries Outisde Of The Greater Nazi Reich

Amazon's "The Man in the High Castle" has been renewed for season 2, and spoilers about the follow-up are already circling the interwebs.

"The Man in the High Castle" showrunner Frank Spotnitz sat down with Den of Geek and discussed what fans can expect in Season 2. According to Spotnitz, the follow-up season will introduce new countries and explore issues outside of North America.

"There are glimpses of what's going on with the rest of the planet in the first season," Spotnitz said. "There are so many issues to explore and it is science fiction so the reason to tell the story is to reflect back on the world we live in right now."

Spotnitz provided even more Season 2 spoilers in a separate interview with Variety.

"In season one, by design, you don't know much about what's happening outside of North America," Spotnitz explained. "But other countries start to creep in, and you start to get a sense of the larger geopolitical landscape. And then you'll see a lot more of that in season two."

For those unfamiliar, "The Man in the High Castle" is based on a novel of the same name written by Philip K. Dick, and takes place in an alternate timeline where the United States lost World War II and Japan and Germany ruled the world.

The first season aired in January last year and spanned 10 episodes that centered on main characters Juliana Crane (Alexa Davalos), Frank Frink (Rupert Evans) and Joe Blake (Luke Kleintank).

Producers have yet to announce an exact release date for season 2, although spoilers claimed that it will not make it this year and could be bumped up to 2017 to make time for the show's heavy CGI.

Stay tuned for more "The Man in the High Castle" season 2 spoilers as updates become available.
