"Fashion Police" cast secrets were revealed by Giuliana Rancic. In an interview with Daily Mail, she shared how Melissa Rivers made things easier when she joined the hit fashion critique show.

The E! mainstay narrated how it was difficult for the former hosts to return after the untimely death of their matriarch, Joan Rivers. The late comedienne passed away a week in September 2014 following a botched throat operation at an Upper East Side clinic named Yorkville Endoscopy.

The tragedy made it challenging for everyone on the show to be positive with its return.

"It was hard coming back initially without Joan and before Melissa was on the cast," the 41-year-old TV personality admitted.

"I thought that was really hard. I tried to smile and act like it wasn't upsetting or bothering me but it upset all of us."

"We were all still very devastated," she said about returning following Joan Rivers' death.

Things became harder when Giuliana Rancic was accused of being a racist in a feud with Zendaya Coleman. She was then abandoned by former "Fashion Police" cast members Kathy Griffin, Kelly Osbourne and George Kotsiopoulos.

The show went on a six-month hiatus before it returned with Melissa Rivers as its new lead host.

"I think the first day I shot with Melissa on set it was a lot easier," Giuliana Rancic explained. The only daughter of Joan Rivers joined Giuliana Rancic, stylist Brad Goreski and guest co-hosts Nene Leakes and Margaret Cho.

The 47-year-old executive producer also inspired hosts and staff to make it the "new and improved Fashion Police" that is getting good reviews now.

"I feel happy being on set because I look at Melissa and think Joan must be so happy right now," Giuliana Rancic gushed.

"[Joan] thought Melissa was just the funniest person ever, so it is nice she is able to show that to the world and it is amazing how life works and how that has turned out."

Melissa Rivers also recently talked to E! News about the "great chemistry" among the new "Fashion Police" cast members.

"We always have fun," Melissa Rivers said. "This is a group that we're very comfortable with each other rhythms. It's like music it all plays together well."

People also reported about how Melissa Rivers finds the new "Fashion Police" cast more creative.

"I think we really started to find our footing those last few episodes that I hosted," she said. "So now that we have our feet underneath us, I think we can start to explore creatively a little bit more."
