Lady Gaga 2016 New Album: Singer Collaborates With Elton John, Mark Ronson

Lady Gaga was recently reported to be working on a new 2016 album. The singer-songwriter is getting some serious help in making the album as it was revealed that Sir Elton John is working with her again, along with Mark Ronson.

"Artpop was not a good album. I think she can admit that. I'm writing with Gaga. I've heard two tracks and they're killer. They're great songs. Back to the early stuff of hers," Sir Elton John said, according to Mirror.

When Lady Gaga released her third studio album back in 2013, it was received with mixed reviews. Some praised the technicality of the tracks while some criticized the album as "bizarre" compared to other the singer's other albums.

For some critics, Artpop was a way for Taylor Kinney's fiancée to express herself about the extreme attention levied on her celebrity status rather than on her music.

While Sir Elton John worked with Lady Gaga in producing Artpop, the English singer-songwriter was not totally impressed with what the album turned out to be.

Despite mixed critical reviews, Artpop went on to sell 258,000 copies within its first week. This is Lady Gaga's second number one album.

Regarding her new album this 2016, Lady Gaga is enlisting the help of producer Mark Ronson. The 40-year-old producer is well-known for working with artists like Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen.

He helped Winehouse produce the latter's Back to Black album as well as Allen's Alright, Still offering.

"We worked together in London," Ronson said of Lady Gaga, per Metro. "I think she's incredibly talented and kind of a muso at heart beyond all the giant pop hits."

He added, "I would love to work some more with her - she's an incredible singer-songwriter."

No exact details were provided regarding Lady Gaga's new album. However, it was hinted that it should be ready before 2016 ends, according to Uproxx.
