Oprah's Weight Loss Purportedly A Scam; Host Hides Real Treatment Behind Weight Watchers Front?

Over the years, Oprah Winfrey has earned a herd of fans who trust her opinions and advice about almost anything, including weight loss. And now, there are rumors that the Queen of Talk might have mislead her followers by purportedly not telling the whole truth about her recent weight loss.

"Here's the thing: There are thousands, if not millions, of people out there watching these ladies and following their leads when it comes to losing weight themselves," Celeb Dirty Laundry reported.

"So when Oprah becomes the spokesperson for Weight Watchers, her massive following jumps on board. Oprah's fans are like a cult. She says anything is good and they will all run out and buy it," the report continued. "It's no different when Oprah is out there claiming that Weight Watchers is the reason that she's shedding all her weight, when in fact there is more to the picture."

The report mentioned an investigation conducted by The National Enquirer about Oprah's weight loss, and according to the results, Oprah has purportedly "undergone multiple surgeries to slim down."

"Oprah looks as if she's possibly had some plastic surgery to slim down her neck and add definition to her cheekbones," Dr. Alan Matarasso reportedly told the magazine as quoted by CDL.

Meanwhile, investors may still be trying to figure out whether to buy, sell or hold shares in Weight Watchers ever since Oprah revealed it to be her weight loss program of choice.

"Shares of the New York diet company closed Thursday at $11.98 - well below the $13.92 price they enjoyed back in October after the TV star announced she was buying a 10 percent stake in the company and would become its lead pitch person," New York Post reported.

"Since the day before Winfrey bought in, Weight Watchers shares have been on a wild ride - more than quadrupling to a high of $28.05 before reversing course."

Oprah Winfrey is yet to comment on speculations that she might have mislead her fans about her weight loss program, as well as on the plummeting stock price of Weight Watchers.
