Viewers of the season 1 of "Wayward Pines" have been left with cliffhangers as Ethan Burke dies in the season finale. Matt Dilon has bid his goodbyes and fans have been wondering who will be the next character to be fighting to protect the town's people.
The season finale has killed the main character and has also shown Ben Burke waking up from a coma. Fans are still hoping that Ethan's character will be saved while some have been wondering if he is dead since there was no dead body seen.
As of now, speculations have been circulating and Fox Entertainment President David Madden has not revealed any details of the upcoming season but promised that the next show will be better than ever.
"WAYWARD PINES was a huge hit for us this past summer. We were absolutely blown away by the mysterious and surprising world that Night and his team created, and the twisting-and-turning storytelling that drew viewers in from day one," Madden revealed.
The cast and crew were surprised as to how the people have learned to love the show. Master Herald has reported that Madden promised that the season 2 will up its suspense level and it will continue where it has left off.
"Season Two is going to take the suspense, the vision of the future and the haunting character drama to whole new levels, and we can't wait for our fans to continue that ride next year," Madden said in an interview.
"Wayward Pines" season 1 has ranked as the Summer 2015's number 1 scripted series according to Fox with 2.2/8 in the key demo. It has earned a multi-platform average audience of 9.4 million in its first season.
