Amy Schumer Lambasts Troll On Twitter Due To "Sexist" Tweet; End Of Jennifer Lawrence Love-In?

Comedian Amy Schumer was criticized for lambasting an aspiring teen critic on social media, a week after actress Jennifer Lawrence humiliated a journalist during the Golden Globes. However, fans are likely to be still in love with the pair, according to The Daily Beast.

The short Twitter commotion between the "Trainwreck" star and Murphy, a relatively unknown film critic, started when the teen tweeted and made netizens react through their smartphones. When Murphy got the chance to have a photo with Schumer during the 2016 Critic's Choice Awards night on Sunday, the teenager then tweeted the image with a caption that says: "Spent the night with @amyschumer. Certainly not the first guy to write that."

The young film reviewer has deleted the tweeted but that didn't stop the actress from responding to what he posted. "I get it. Cause I'm a whore? Glad I took a photo with you. Hi to your dad," she wrote, as quoted by zap2it.com.

Even though the 17-year-old apologized to Schumer because of the tweet, many netizens cried out foul over the situation, calling his tweet "sexist" and "misogynistic" for "slut-shaming" someone like Schumer.

Amy Schumer, who has been frequently hanging out with fellow actress Jennifer Lawrence, did reply to Murphy when he tweeted his apology. "that's really okay honey. I just remember thinking you and your dad were sweet and it was a bummer to read that," wrote the actress.

Although the act may be bittersweet, many people are not quite happy with how the comedian reacted to the tweet, perceiving it as over-critical.

Amy Schumer appeared on stage together with Jennifer Lawrence during the Golden Globe Awards ceremonies, where Lawrence won the best actress in a comedy or musical. After the awards, the "Hunger Games" star reportedly called out a reporter during the press conference for always looking at his phone. It has been noted that the guy was just reading his notes on a phone as English may not have been his native language.
