Lea Michelle Still Hurting 3 Years After Cory Monteith's Death; Fans Being Mean To Boyfriend Matthew Paetz?
Lea Michelle's fans being mean to her boyfriend, Matthew Paetz? Three years after Cory Monteith's untimely death, the "Scream Queens" actress admitted some fans have criticized her on social media for moving on!
In an interview with Fempire, Lea Michelle opened up about the struggles of that she and boyfriend, Matthew Paetz face every day, especially from Cory Monteith and "Glee" fans.
According to the "Scream Queens" actress, people "talk so much" and "always try to bring her back" whenever she shared pictures of her new beaux, Matthew Paetz.
"I love my fans. They're incredible and they were really a part of my whole story and my whole journey with me, so I do come from a place of understanding, but it's also really hard," Lea Michelle said of her relationship with Matthew Paetz. "You know, every time I post a picture, then it's just a landslide of comments that talk about my past and bring that up rather than projecting positivity."
Although the comments are generally positive, according to the actress, it does bring up some degree of negativity or sadness.
"And even though, you know, I don't think anyone is really projecting hate - it is positive, it's nothing so, so terrible," Michelle said. "But at the end of the day, we have to remember that what we put out there, it manifests and it creates energy and you should want to be the person that chooses to take that second to do something positive."
Despite this, Lea Michelle said it has made her relationship with her Matthew Paetz even stronger.
"We've stood by each other through anything that was thrown our way," she said. "He's such a great man that he would never really let anything like that ever crack our lovely little core that we've created."
Lea Michelle and her boyfriend, Matthew Paetz met in April 2014, on the set of her music video, "On My Way." They got together about a year after Cory Monteith's untimely death in 2013 due to drug and alcohol overdose.
