Hayden Christensen Prepares For 'Star Wars: Episode VIII'? Anakin Skywalker Rumored To Appear As A Ghost

It has been previously rumored that Hayden Christensen could be reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker in "Star Wars: Episode VIII," or if not, in "Rogue One."

Though producers are yet to confirm the rumors, it has been observed that Hayden Christensen has been busy for a movie he's starring in.

Is the actor already preparing for his rumored role as Anakin Skywalker in "Star Wars: Episode VIII"?

Much to the disappointment of fans, Hayden Christensen is indeed busy with a movie, but not "Star Wars."

According to a report, the actor is starring in a faith-centric movie entitled "90 Minutes in Heaven."

IMDB described the plot of the movie as: "A man involved in a horrific car crash is pronounced dead, only to come back to life an hour and a half later, claiming to have seen Heaven."

Vanity Fair previously wrote an article on how Hayden Christensen's role was supposed to appear in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

"We may still see this disfigured, hybrid Force ghost version of Anakin but the bigger question is who will he be haunting?" the article wrote.

"Many suppose it's Rey who, as we saw in The Force Awakens, is, well, waking up to her connection to the Skywalker family. Whatever that may be. The other likely candidate is Luke. In other version of the Anakin concept art, you can see him perched over the shoulder of present-day Luke Skywalker."

Hayden Christensen has earlier said that portraying the role of Anakin Skywalker in the "Star Wars" trilogy prequel movies might have been the reason why he didn't pursue any movie of TV projects after it.

"I guess I felt like I had this great thing in Star Wars that provided all these opportunities and gave me a career, but it all kind of felt a little too handed to me," Hayden Christensen recently said, as quoted by Vanity Fair in a separate report.

"You can't take years off and not have it affect your career," Christensen said, as quoted by MTV.com. "But I don't know - in a weird, sort of destructive way, there was something appealing about that to me."

Hayden Christensen's camp is yet to comment on rumors that he will reprise his role in any upcoming "Star Wars" movies.
