On Wednesday, Jan. 6, Janet Jackson addressed rumors saying that she has throat cancer, reason for her cancelled 2016 tour.
"Remember...believe it when you hear it from my lips," the singer wrote in a video clip posted on Twitter.
The said video clip featured lyrics from the singer's song, "The Great Forever," after which, a message from Jackson could be read.
"The rumors are untrue. I do not have cancer," Jackson wrote. "I'm recovering. My doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled. Thank you for your prayers and love."

Speculation over Janet Jackson's health began when the singer announced that she had to undergo surgery, forcing her to cancel a few shows off her 2016 tour.
"I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon," Jackson wrote on Twitter. "It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring."
The singer did not further explain why she had to undergo surgery but assured fans that the cancelled concerts will be re-scheduled.
"Please hold on to your tickets. They will be honored in a special way when the new schedule is announced," Jackson wrote.
Janet Jackson also thanked fans and asked them to pray for her.
"Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time. There will be no further comment," the singer added. "I love you all so much and am ever grateful for your understanding and your love. Gon' b alright."
Janet Jackson's cancelled 2016 "Unbreakable" tour, North American leg, spanned 30 dates and was originally scheduled to end in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on March 9, 2016. After that, its European leg was supposed to begin March 30, Rolling Stone reported.
