Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen's 'Fuller House' Appearance Turned Down; Twins Felt 'Uncomfortable?'

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are not re-joining the "Fuller House" cast

If you're counting on Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to re-join the cast of "Fuller House" when it returns, get ready to be sorely disappointed.

The original cast of "Full House" will be appearing on its spin-off series (more like a sequel, really) entitled "Fuller House" sans Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

According to "Fuller House's" executive producer, Bob Boyett, Ashley Olsen was the first to turn down the offer, saying that she was "uncomfortable" with the idea of going back to acting.

"Ashley said, 'I have not been in front of a camera since I was 17 and I don't feel comfortable acting,'" Boyett told People Magazine.

While Ashley Olsen's problem was her acting prowess, Mary-Kate felt that joining the "Fuller House" cast would be bad timing.

"Mary-Kate said, 'It would have to be me because Ash doesn't want to do it. But the timing is so bad for us.'"

The Olsen twins are currently very busy running their clothing lines "The Row" and "Elizabeth and James," the executive producer added.

During "Full House's" run on television from 1985 to 1995, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen both played the role of Michelle Tanner. When it returns on Netflix on Feb. 26, the Olsen twin's character, Michelle Tanner, will reportedly be gone off to New York to run a fashion empire.

Meanwhile, original "Full House" cast member, John Stamos said the Olsen twins don't consider themselves as actresses any more after years of being away from making films.

"They seemed very into (Fuller House); they just were afraid of acting," John Stamos said. "They hadn't acted; they don't consider themselves actresses."

However, Stamos said the cast members of "Fuller House" always saw eachother like family all throughout the years.

"We never stopped loving each other," the actor said. "That magic you saw? It's still there because it never stopped from the day that we ended the show."
