'Rick And Morty Season 3' Spoilers: Evil Morty Set To Return As The Biggest Villain?

After it was announced last year that the well-embraced adult animated television series "Rick and Morty" has been successfully renewed for its third instalment, several spoilers about what might be in store in the new season have been making rounds in the social media, with some fans asking if Evil Rick and Morty will return as the new series opens a new chapter.

Though Adult Swim has not yet confirmed the return of Evil Rick, the recent spoilers hinted the return of Evil Morty, who will come into view as the season's biggest villain. Along with the spoilers claiming Evil Morty's comeback is the much awaited return of the goofy Mr. Meeseeks.

The talks about Evil Morty's possible return first came out after the show creator Dan Harmon said that they were planning to revisit the previous plots from the last two seasons and include them in the new storyline of the upcoming "Rick and Morty" season 3.

"I rewatched both seasons a couple nights ago, and now I'm excited about revisiting stuff in season three because I was so phobic about revisiting stuff in season two." said Harmon, as quoted in Hollywood Reported.

The "Rick and Morty" regulars last saw their favorite Evil Morty joining a throng of Rick-less Mortys being taken away on the gigantic star ships. Evil Morty was using his distinctive eye-patch that was later discovered as a transmitter.

Besides dropping hints about the possible return of Evil Morty in the upcoming season, Harmon also said that "Rick and Morty" season 3 would not wholly focus on the aftermath of Rick's story after turning himself over to the Galactic Federation in the season 2 finale episode.

"I don't think anybody wants to do a third season that simple spends a whole bunch of episodes dealing with a situation that we created at the end of the second season." said Harmon, as quoted in Inverse. "So I think that's non-spoiler way of saying things should be okay pretty quickly."

Though the exact date of its official release is yet to be announced, it has been confirmed that "Rick and Morty" season 3 is set for release in 2017.
