Sci-fi author Logan Streondj from Toronto, Canada, has warned of a robot uprising in 2040 that could result in conflicts between humans and the robots.

"The most likely time-frame for an artilect war-style conflict would be between 2040 and 2055," he wrote in a blog post.

Also in his book, "A Home for Robots or else Artilect War!,"  Streondj alleges that ultra-intelligent robots could outnumber humans before the mid-2030s and demand their own living space.

According to BlackSport Online, Streondj also said that robots and military drones would fuel a future major conflict similar to the one seen in the movie "Terminator." Additionally, the intelligent robots would outnumber humans globally and then want to take control.

Asiantown.net reported that in 2011, the International Federation of Robotics announced that 11,000 military robots were produced. The numbers are reportedly higher for classified robots.

According to reports, the rate at which robots are produced is 13 percent per annum. The world could, at least, expect 230,000 military robots in 2040 and by 2053, there may be a million robots. Compared to the half a million active personnel in the American Military, there is a possibility that robots will outdo them in war by 2040.

On the other hand, approximately 350,000 babies are born every day, increasing the world's population by only one percent per annum. Comparing one percent humans per annum and 13 percent robots per annum, it is clear that the robots could form the basis of any future technological revolution.

As reported by Daily Mail, Streondj advised world leaders against creating killer machines. He also called upon the humans to assist in the fight for the entitlements of robots and reduction of robot production.

"Considering robots have a life expectancy of 10 years, and humans live up to 70 years, then we need to produce about seven times more robots per year to have the same number of humans," Streondj said.

Meanwhile, considering the rate at which robots are being produced continues, drones would outnumber humans ten to one by 2050
