Melissa Benoist's Husband Blake Jenner Bring Conflict In 'Supergirl' Episode 11?

Melissa Benoist's husband Blake Jenner has been tapped to join CBS TV series "Supergirl" as love interest for Kara Danvers. The "Glee" alumna will appear in the show for a multi-episode arc.

E! Online had its hands on few stills of the episode titled "Strange Visitor from Another Planet" where Jenner will make his debut. The actor will play Adam Foster, the estrange son of Kara's boss Cat Grant.

Adam's mother is not really fond of Kara so fans can expect more strain in their relationship.

"Supergirl" star Melissa Benoist and Blake Jenner have been together since 2012. They got engaged in July 2013 and got married last March.

While Adam Foster will provide light moments for National City's superheroine in episode 11, the episode after that titled "Bizarro" will be a big test for Supergirl as she is set to face a twisted version of herself.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said their version of Bizarro in "Supergirl" episode 12 is like Dr. Frankenstein's monster.

"The biggest thing about it that was a surprise for us as we constructed the character and the arc was how sad Bizzaro is," Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly.

"In a way, we sort of think about her like Frankenstein['s monster]. She's a monster, but she has a pure child's heart. Ironically, in the episode, while everyone else is saying, 'We have to figure out a way to destroy her,' Kara is the only one saying, 'No, no, no, we have to save her.'"

He added, "That makes the episode so emblematic of what's so special about Kara. She's looking to save everybody, even if they're the bad guy."

Before Melissa Benoist's husband Blake Jenner and Bizarro though, Supergirl will have to deal with her friend Winn, who is in love with her, and his father who turns out to be the supervillain Toyman.

"Supergirl" 5 episode 10 is entitled "Childish Things" and will air this Sunday.
