Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson on fame and mature roles after "Harry Potter"

Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson grew up with most millennials during their "Harry Potter" days. From waving wands to making a change for women all over the world to performing on Broadway stages, both actors have matured.

This was something Radcliffe himself, discussed in an interview with Italy's Vanity Fair.

According to the actor, as reported in The Leaky Cauldron, the concept of his own fame came to him at the young age of 11 and thus, signaled the end of his childhood.

"The first time I went to Japan to promote Harry Potter I was 11 and waiting for me at the airport," the actor said. "I found something like five thousand people. There were girls screaming my name, I touched people by mistake and they fainted,"

"For me, it was a small, amazing thing, insane," he added. "At that moment I realized that my life had changed, and what it meant 'to be famous,'" the actor said.

Meanwhile, Daniel Radcliffe's "Harry Potter" co-star, Emma Watson, is embracing being an adult with a new and more mature role in the dark thriller movie, "Colonia."

Gone are the days that she played a nerdy, know-it-all young witch in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The actress' role in "Colonia" is expected to mark a remarkable change for her career.

"Colonia" is based on true events in 1973 in the heat of political uprisings in Chile. In the movie, Watson plays a young Lufthansa Airlines flight attendant named Lena, who is on a mission to find her husband, who has been kidnapped by General Augusto Pinochet's underground police, The Daily Mail reported.

The movie trailer alone displays a more complex depth of emotion from Watson, who has played the character of Hermione Granger for 10 years.

Moreso, the German trailer for "Colonia" starts with Watson's character taking a photograph of his naked husband and rolling around playfully in bed with him.

Directed by Oscar-winner Florian Gallenberger, "Colonia" is set to be released in Germany and Switzerland in February 2016 and Canada in September, according to IMDB.

With all their project and their wise perspectives on fame and life in general, fans are saying that Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have definitely re-invented themselves since their "Harry Potter" days.
