'Batman V Superman' News: Man Of Steel And Dark Knight Are Literally Face-To-Face In New Footage!
"Batman V Superman" director Zack Snyder released new footage featuring the two title heroes face-to-face.
With just over two months left before its release, Warner Bros. has been agressively marketing its biggest movie yet. So far, TV spots have featured previously released footage with minor additions or extended shots from the "Batman V Superman" trailers.
Though Batman has been portrayed as the aggressor in several of the "Batman V Superman" trailers, the new footage suggests that Superman may have threatened him first.
The "Man of Steel" helmer recently appeared on Conan O'Brien's show and dropped never-before-seen footage which features the title heroes face-to-face.
"Next time they shine your light in the sky, don't go to it. The Bat is dead. Bury it. Consider this mercy," Superman says. This prompts the Dark Knight to utter his famous line "tell me, do you bleed? You will."
While the new footage doesn't reveal anything new about the plot, it somewhat portrays Superman as a villain for the first time in the film's marketing campaign. It's also worthy to note that he is described in the synopsis as a "god-like" superhero whose powers are left "unchecked," fighting justice based on his own sense of right and wrong.
In conclusion, despite many disagreeing with his vigilante-style of justice, Batman could very well be the only one who can stop Superman and the movie's unlikely hero.
"Batman V Superman," which releases on March 25, features Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne aka Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent aka Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Jeremy Irons as Alfred J. Pennyworth, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.
Stay tuned for new "Batman V Superman" footage and other updates as they become available.
