Is Meg Ryan going to have plastic surgery in 2016? In a new interview, the 54-year-old actress opened up about growing old in Hollywood.

Hollywood is obsessed with youth and very few actresses fair well with their careers once their looks change. It's an unfortunate fact that actress Meg Ryan addressed in a recent interview with Porter Magazine.

"We get stuck in these conversations about looks and hair color and our roots," Meg Ryan said. "It's interesting and funny for five minutes, but it's not that interesting."

According to the actress, there are "more important conversations" than an actress' physical appearance.

In 2015, Meg Ryan drew negative attention in the news after photos of her "botched plastic surgery" appearance were released. But that's something the actress doesn't seem to mind as she rang in 2016.

"I don't pay a lot of attention frankly," Ryan says said of the things written about her in the news. "There's a lot of hatred in the world today, it's so easy to judge."

She added: "Imagine being a hater, how stupid! My women friends are not sitting around talking about... well, sometimes there are conversations like that, but the people I value talk about kids growing up, what kind of world they are going into, what we are eating, what we are breathing."

So is Meg Ryan closing her doors to plastic surgery in 2016? Perhaps. The actress stressed that she has learned to "love" her age.

"I love my age," Ryan said. "I love my life right now. I love what I know about. I love the person I've become, the one I've evolved into. In my life I've been scrappy as hell, but I feel easy with things now. I think that comes with age."

In 2014, Meg Ryan broke up with John Mellencamp, her musician boyfriend for three years.

According to sources, Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp called it quits due to "distance problems."

"They have opposite backgrounds with different goals," a source said of Ryan and Mellencamp.
