Xiaomi Mi 5 Vs Meizu MX6: Which Chinese Flagship Is The Top Dog? Specs, Features, Compared!
The Xiaomi Mi 5 and Meizu MX6 alleged design, specs, and features from GSM Arena and Android Headlines are being pitted down.
Xiaomi and Meizu are known for their cheap yet top of the line smartphones and these two Chinese phone manufacturers are about to unveil their first flagships for 2016.
Their upcoming flagships- Xiaomi Mi 5 and Meizu MX6- reportedly boast a premium design. The former is being said to incorporate some of Apple iPhone's design, as the company has been dubbed as Apple of China with rounded edges and a 2.5D glass. While the other is expected to come in metal unibody design too.
The Xiaomi MI 5 packs a 5.2inch screen display with 2K resolution. On the other hand, Meizu MX6 has a larger screen of 5.5inch with 1080p display.
Both flagships will be the first devices to carry Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and Mediatek Helio X20 processors. With that being said, the Mi 5 and MX 6 will be one of the fastest smartphones available in the market, when released.
According to a leaked Antutu benchmark, the Meizu MX6 runs on MediaTek' MT6797, better known as the Helio X20, "is the first mobile deca-core processor sporting a combination of Cortex-A72 and Cortex-A53 in the following configuration." The processor features 2 x Cortex-A72 cores running at 2.5GHz; 4 x Cortex-A53 cores running at 2.0GHz and 4 x Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.4GHz, WCC Tech
reported.
The processor goes along with a 3GB or RAM AND A 32gb of onboard storage.
While Xiaomi Mi 5 has Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with two different storage variants of 32GB/3GB and 64GB/4GB.
As for their prices, Xiaomi Mi 5 will cost around 1,999 yuan and 2,299 yuan, while Meizu is expected to be "cheap" flagship too.
Xiaomi Mi 5 will debut on Jan. 21 and will be available for purchase after Chinese New Year. Meizu MX6, on the other hand, will be showcased at MWC 2016
