Ronda Rousey Turns Loss Into Sports Illustrated Gig Thanks To Boyfriend Travis Browne?
Ronda Rousey has a knack for turning unfortunate events into another commercial success. After her loss, instead of moping in the corner, Ronda Rousey came back into the spotlight with Sports Illustrated body paint issue, probably thanks to her ever-supportive boyfriend Travis Browne.
According to ESPN, "The former UFC champ posed (again) for Sports Illustrated's upcoming swimsuit issue. And this year she took her participation to another level by rocking body paint instead of a traditional bathing suit. A few pictures from the shoot were leaked ahead of the magazine's February release."
Looks like her loss helped her take a step into a much more daring state of mind. Despite the fact that her mother has been disapproving of her almost-nude campaigns, looks like Ronda Rousey is paving a path for herself.
But that doesn't mean that Sports Illustrated model is over her loss to Holly Holm. The fact that she is doing much better in 2016 means that her boyfriend Travis Browne has been a great help to the former UFC champion.
According to Rolling Stone, "While it was clear that the only loss of her UFC career hit her hard - "I'm just really fucking sad," she said - Rousey may have been underselling the impact of the defeat just a bit. Because according to sister Maria Burns Ortiz, part of Rowdy died that night in Australia. "I haven't rewatched [the fight]," Ortiz wrote on Vice Sports. "I haven't read about it. I won't. I don't see a point in reliving the moment when a part of my loved one died, when I saw someone I cared about have her soul crushed."
Looks like Ronda Rousey "dying" will really help her get inspired for a comeback.
Having had a noisy couple of weeks, Sports Illustrated model finally opened up about her boyfriend Travis Browne, who has gone through domestic abuse allegations.
According to Wresting Inc, "Rousey, who had been outspoken about Floyd Mayweather's domestic abuse issues, was dating Browne, who had also been accused (and later cleared) of domestic abuse."
She said, "It's hard, it's really hard. I'm very anti-domestic violence. But I know that he didn't do anything. Now I'm put in this situation where I'm finally happy with somebody that respects me and cares about me, and I'm like, 'What do I do?'"
In fact, Ronda Rousey has been heavily leaning on her boyfriend Travis Browne for support before her next fight. According to Fox Sports, "Rousey finally is showing her mug in public, not much worse for wear, alongside boyfriend and fellow fighter Travis Browne. Check out the happy couple looking good, walking around without a care in the world."
Meanwhile, Ronda Rousey is still delaying to comment on Holly Holm rematch or any other next fight.
