With the actual release date of "Outlander" season 2 still uncertain, the show tries to address fans' cry by sharing a new featurette on what to expect when it returns this year.
Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) are in a new territory in hopes of moving on from what had happened to them in the first season. They are also up for a monumental mission that will change the course of history.

Nothing will come easy for the couple though. In one portion of the clip, the hunky Outlander is seen getting mad at his wife because she does not see her home. In another part of the clip, he pointed a knife at her.
Where will this relationship go with all those confrontation? The answers are still up in the air pending "Outlander" season 2 release date.
Accordingly, Jamie will have breakdowns in "Outlander" season 2 and Caitriona Balfe claimed this could be because of the trauma caused by his experience in the hands of Jack Randall.
"We go to Paris on this mission, and we're there for a reason," she said as per Collider. "But Jamie's definitely still affected by the trauma. I think time is a great healer, but ultimately, he puts his whole body and soul into this mission about changing history, and then there is a great revelation that kind of cures him or brings him out of himself, which I can't really tell you what that is, but it certainly brings back the old Jamie."
Sam Heughan also teased that his character will experience transformation in the new season. Although their struggle will continue, he assured fans that Claire will still be there for Jamie.
"I've been very surprised by Season 2," he said in the same interview. "Season 1 was about discovery and about a young man sort of growing up and finding his place in the world and in a relationship. And Season 2 has been about discovering a side of the character that I didn't know was there, that he's playing someone else."
"He's being quite deceptive. He's learning to be deceitful, and he does it very well. Jamie is very capable and good at most things. But there's a side to him that I didn't know existed," he added.
"[I admire] his humor and his buoyancy. His natural ability to keep going no matter what's wrong. And I guess, also, his just absolute dedication to Claire is admirable and inspiring."
Executive producer Ronaldo Moore said "Outlander" season 2 release date will most likely be around March or April this year.
