Maria Sharapova To Decrease From Competition Withdrawal? Athlete Nursing Arm Injury?

It was reported that Maria Sharapova withdrew from competing at Brisbane International due to recent arm injuries, which may also have an effect on her net worth.

Along with the Russian professional tennis player, Simona Halep also pulled out from the competition that will happen two weeks from now.

As of the moment, the 28-year-old athlete is under treatment for the said injury. This situation meant that she will not be able to push through on her scheduled matches on Jan. 18.

Recently, she explained her condition to Brisbane tournament organizers.

"I hurt my forearm in practice a couple days ago and need to precautionary withdraw with the Aus Open starting," she said, reported The Guardian.

With regards to her left arm injury, she initially made the announcement on Tuesday morning about not competing against her scheduled opponent Ekaterina Makarova at  Pat Rafter Arena.

"Brisbane International is such a special event especially being defending champion," Sharapova said, reported Fox Sports. "I look forward to seeing all my fans next year."

Despite her health situation, Maria Sharapova doesn't seem to worry about her net worth and continued to enjoy her time in Australia.

While on treatment, news posted dished that she visited King Arthur Café in Queensland and shared a photo of her at the venue to her 1.1 million Instagram followers.

She captioned the image saying, "So many coffee cafe's to choose from in Brisbane," via the reads on Daily Mail.

"This time at King Arthur. #EasyAfternoon," she added.

The captured photo immediately gained 70,000 likes in four days time.

Meanwhile, Women's Tennis Association rank four player has also achieved her place in social media. She is hailed as the second most popular female athlete following American MMA and actress, Ronda Rousey based on the number of their followers.

The news about Maria Sharapova Instagram photo reported that it could be worth $10,000 additional to her net worth and also with Brisbane business.
