Ronda Rousey's Latest Racy Sports Illustrated Turns Heads; She's Wearing Nothing At All
Ronda Rousey and Sports Illustrated are trying to break the Internet through Instagram.
SI editor MJ Day posted a pic of a woman on the Internet wearing a swimsuit that appears to be made of body paint. The post did not mention any names or tagged any accounts. Only common hashtags.
"#instabooty if #2016 keeps going like this then I'm going to be one happy happy girl! #bootypaint #siswimsuit" - the post said.
However, the Internet was quick to decipher that the new hot babe for Sports Illustrated is none other than the UFC Women's champion Ronda Rousey, mainly because of the tattoo on her arm.
Thus, the publication was prompted to release a statement regarding their next issue.
"The Internet went into a frenzy this afternoon when SI Swimsuit editor MJ Day took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes photo from our current exotic shoot," Sports Illustrated wrote. "And while the full identity of the mystery model won't be revealed until next month, some savvy web sleuths think they may have already figured out who she is."
The article then asked an obvious question that only made speculations look more legit. "Thanks to a few inconspicuous tattoos, it looks like our next body-painted beauty may be the one and only Ronda Rousey. We can neither confirm nor deny these rumors, but isn't the idea of Ronda donning nothing but paint enough to tie you over until the issue comes out in February?"
The post garnered 4,571 likes and at least 600 comments, mostly saying how they figured it is Ronda Rousey. Ronda Rousey's Sports Illustrated issue will arrive next month. That is if she is indeed the featured model/athlete.
Ronda Rousey is just coming off a loss to Holly Holm in November. Although it took time for her to recover, she is slowly getting back to her normal life.
She is set to host Saturday Night Live on Jan. 23 together with Selena Gomez. In the meantime, mixed martial arts fans need to wait from her camp when she will fight next or who will it be. There are other fighters being brought up but it looks like she will go for a rematch with Holm. Sports Illustrated also made the announcement official involving Ronda Rousey on Jan. 7.
