As part of its push to remain as a global electronics giant, Samsung has unveiled a series of new Super Ultra High Definition (SUHD) television models at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week.

Venturebeat reported Tuesday that Samsung's 2016 SUHD TVs will consist of models primarily featuring quantum dot displays, Internet of Things Connectivity and the world's first bezel-less curved design that are some of the newest technologies in the TV industry. Specifically, the Quantum Dot Display Technology will enable the SUHD TVs to feature a 10-bit quantum dot display, resulting in the best picture quality, exceptional contrast and stunning brightness.

Samsung Television Product Marketing Vice President Bill Lee said, "Quantum Dots as it relates to televisions is only a year old for us. Why we're talking about it, though, is that there have been improvements to the technology and design." The refinements he specifically talked about are done to the film that contains the nanocrystals that are located between the screen and the LEDS.

The SUHD TV's bezel-free design allows users to focus their attention on the device's display, Tech Radar confimed.

Samsung asserted that the SUHD TV lineup runs on a new version of the Tizen operating system (OS), which is noticeable faster and more responsive than the one that's already in the market. The Tizen OS is now integrated into Time Warner Cable, making it easier for users to view content from one device to another without having to change the inputs on a TV set.

The new Samsung TV models also boast 500 streaming and downloadable games available.
