'My Love Story' English Dub Announced By Sentai Filmworks
Arguably (and as voted by many fans and critics) one of the best anime series of 2015, "My Love Story" has continued to steal hearts and take names since its release.
If you were holding out for the English dub however, your wait will soon be over.
Earlier today on their official Twitter, Sentai Filmworks confirmed that they would be releasing an official "My Love Story" English dub. No details about the release schedule or a special edition home video box set was announced, but hopefully further details will come within the week.
It would appear that the "My Love Story" anime series was so well-liked, that even fans who dislike the romance drama were expressing excitement on Twitter about the English dub announcement.
"I have been hoping for this to be dubbed. It may be romance, but I still love it," said Andrew Garza.
The "My Love Story" anime is based on the original manga series by Kazune Kawahara and Aruko. Viz Media has licensed the manga for release outside of Japan and has so far released eight volumes of the series in various outlets.
Crunchyroll, who streamed the series as it aired in 2015, describes the "My Love Story" anime series as follows:
"Takeo Goda is a giant guy with a giant heart. Too bad the girls don't want him! (They always go for his good-looking best friend, Sunakawa.) Used to being on the sidelines, Takeo simply stands tall and accepts his fate."
It goes on:
"But one day when he saves a girl named Yamato from a harasser on the train, his (love!) life suddenly takes an incredible turn! Takeo can hardly believe it when he crosses paths with Yamato again, and he finds himself falling in love with her... But with handsome Sunakawa around, does Takeo even stand a chance."
