'Ray Donovan' Season 4 Premiere Date: When Will It Return On Air? Katie Holmes Set To Come Back?
Many fans of "Ray Donovan" are anticipating the season 4 premiere of the crime drama show.
However, despite the confirmation that "Ray Donovan" season 4 will be back this 2016, the actual date of its airing is yet to be publicized.
It can be recounted that the past seasons of the show that stars Liev Schreiber had a mid-year premiere.
Past seasons of "Ray Donovan" premiered in July, with the sole exception of the first season which aired on June 30, 2013.
The premiere dates of seasons 2 and 3 both fell on the second Sunday of July. If the show will continue its tradition, many fans are guessing that the premiere date of "Ray Donovan" Season 4 could be on July 10.
This, however, remains a speculation until producers confirm the premiere date of the show.
Aside from its airing date, many fans may also be monitoring updates about whether Katie Holmes will be back on season 4.
In season 3, Katie Holmes played the role of Paige Finney.
"Ray Donovan" boss David Hollander previously spoke up about whether Katie Holmes will be reprising her role in the upcoming season.
"I'm never finished with anybody. But her family certainly is not going to be a centerpiece as a plot initially," Hollander told The Hollywood Reporter.
"If something about it becomes relevant to the story and can be additive and bring up more places to explore, sure. I love those actors and characters."
Katie Holmes' complex character in the show first sparked interest from viewers as the "Dawson's Creek" alum needed to wear braces for the role - something that she explained in an interview after the season 3 premiere.
"Literally, the braces are because she has migraine headaches and that helps them," Katie Holmes told "Good Morning America,"as quoted by ABC News.
"I think it's definitely to show that Paige, while she does look like she has everything in order, she still is flawed," Holmes continued.
"We wanted to impart right way that she's a complicated character. She's not exactly what you see."
