It has been revealed that Manny Pacquiao's next fight, and probably the last one in his career, will be against Timothy Bradley.

A lot of names has been endorsed to battle the eight-division champion Filipino fighter, most of them wanting to make name for themselves by catching a bigger fish. However, Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum said they went for someone who has already proven himself in the sport.

This is the same reason why Adrien Broner, who boasts a 31-2 Win-Loss record (23 via K.O.), was not selected. Arum said they will not choose a lesser known opponent just like what Floyd Mayweather Jr. did when he fought and won against Andre Berto last September for his last fight.

"Let's be honest when we talk about Mayweather and Berto," Arum told Yahoo Sports. "What the [expletive] business did Berto have in there in the ring against Mayweather? None. It's the same as if we had put Pacquiao in the ring with Broner. What the [expletive]? We'd never do that. It makes no sense."

Arum, who is the CEO of Top Rank, also said that for the next fight, they want to at least come close to what they earned in "Fight of the Century" between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. last May.

"Of course, I understand the reaction to the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight is going to impact us. Clearly, yes. There is no question about that. Will we do the same numbers for the first two Bradley fights? Probably not," he said.

"We're going to try to come as close as we can, and hopefully exceed it, but I understand what we're up against. I've run my numbers and I have done my math. I'm not out here with my head up my [expletive]."

The announcement of Manny Pacquiao's next fight against Timothy Bradley was not exactly well received by many. The two first fought in 2012, which saw the American boxer triumph. They did a rematch in 2014 and Pacman won the bout. Both of those fights underwhelmed the fans and ended in controversial decisions.

Per Bleach Report, the other boxers who were considered for Manny Pacquiao's next fight were Juan Manuel Marquez, Amir Khan, and Terence Crawford.
