If you've been following Scott Cawthon's actions since the first explosion of "Five Nights at Freddy's," you've probably gotten used to him beating his own deadlines.

In the case of "FNAF World" however, it appears that fans have jumped the gun this time.

Earlier today, "Five Nights at Freddy's" franchise creator Scott Cawthon updated fans on his progress with the highly anticipated RPG "FNAF World." While he didn't release the game as some fans expected, he did reveal more details about the "FNAF World" gameplay. It looks like fans will be getting some secret bosses when the game is released.

Creator Scott Cawthon explained what he was working on in a forum on the "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" steam page.

"In reality though, I'm still busy adding more content to the game. It's become a bigger game than I'd first planned it to be, but that's a good thing! I'm busy adding power-ups and shops, as well as a few different ways to beat the game. I'm also busy creating secret bosses," said Cawthon.

Cawthon first announced plans for "FNAF World" in September 2015. He explained that the game would differ from the other games in the series by taking on an RPG style, and would include all the various versions of each animatronic.

Secret bosses in combination with "a few different ways to beat the game" likely means some alternative endings will be available depending on choices you make as a player.

Unfortunately, an expanding "FNAF World" likely means the project is too large to come any time soon. Not to mention, Cawthon recently released "Five Nights at Freddy's: The Silver Eyes" novel, and the "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie project is still in development.

But then again, if "FNAF World" is suddenly released tomorrow, it wouldn't be the first time Cawthon couldn't predict his own release schedule.
