'Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi' Or 'ERASED' Anime Gets New Trailer Featuring Asian Kung-Fu Generation [VIDEO]

Days before its official premiere, a new trailer for the "Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi" or "ERASED" anime series is now streaming online. The trailer features the series' opening theme by Japanese rock-band Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Fans can check out the trailer below before the series premieres on Jan. 7.

Asian Kung-Fu Generation is no stranger to anime theme songs, having been featured on major anime series like "Naruto," "Bleach," and "Fullmetal Alchemist." The band also released their eighth studio album earlier this year entitled "Wonder Future."

Asian Kung-Fu Generation has won several awards throughout their extensive career including "Best Anime Theme Song" at the American Anime Awards for their song "Rewrite" and been nominated several times for the "Best Rock Video" MTV Video Music Awards in Japan.

Crunchyroll reports that "Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi" anime series will be directed by Tomohiko Ito with character designs by Keigo Sasaki. Taku Kishimoto will write the screenplay. A-1 Pictures will handle the animation production.

The main Japanese voice cast for the "Boku Dakes Ga Inai Machi" anime includes Aoi Yuki as the voice of Kayo Hinazuki, Chinatsu Akasaki as Airi Katagiri, Yo Taichi as Kenya, and Akari Kito as Hiromi. There's no word yet on a possible English dub, but it is likely that if the series gets large fan response in North America.

"Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi" ("The Town Where Only I Am Missing") was originally a manga series by Kei Sanbe. Kadokawa is publishing the series and released the sixth volume in July. For those not familiar with the series, Anime News Network describes the story as follows:

"Satoru Fujinuma is a struggling manga artist who has the ability to turn back time and prevent deaths. When his mother is killed he turns back time to solve the mystery, but ends up back in elementary school, just before the disappearance of his classmate Kayo."
