The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice's release date from prison is Dec. 23, which will allow her to be home for Christmas, according to Bravo.

43-year old Giudice will be reunited with her husband Joe, and four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audrina, Wednesday. She is also excited to see her and Joe's family and close friends.

"Teresa is beyond excited to finally see her family. She can't wait to see them," a source tells People. "It has been a pretty challenging year for her and her family, to say the least."

Teresa Giudice served almost a year in prison in a Danbury, Conn. facility for multiple counts of fraud. Following her released date and in a few months, Joe will begin his prison sentence.

"She is extrememly upbeat," said Giudice's lawyer, James J. Leonard Jr. "She is very excited. She is very anxious to get home to her family and enjoy the holidays just like everybody else."

Teresa is expected to spend Christmas Eve in Montville, N.J. at her brother Joe Gorga's house.

"I think that she's going to be spend," added Leonard Jr.ing Monday with the Giudice family and then, I think, she's going to take a little bit of time in the days that follow just trying to relax and unwind a bit."

Joe Giudice will be starting his 41-month sentence in the early part of 2016. His sentence came after Teresa Giudice's, which was a 15-month sentence at a correctional institute in Connecticut. After her release date, Teresa will serve the remainder of her sentence on home confinement, which will be until Feb. 5.

In October, Joe received 41 counts of fraud. He opened up about his family's plans during the holiday, shared Bustle.

"We're probably going to take a trip or two with the family," said Teresa's husband. "I'd stay in the states, (maybe) some island close by. We're basically going to keep it small and just chill out. Whatever she wants to do when she comes home."

The reality couple was allowed to serve their sentences apart, so they could provide constant care for their four daughters.
