State-run media site Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) forecasted Saturday that North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un inspected a catfish farm, describing it as a "model and standard farm."

Yonhap News Agency reported on the same day that Kim's visit in May 9 Catfish Farm on Saturday was his first after he inspected the catfish farm in December last year. Reports have revealed that during his visit last year, the North Korean dictator named the farm "after the day his father and late leader Kim Jong Il visited the farm for the first time."

"Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea) National Defense Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, visited the May 9 Catfish Farm which has turned into another model and standard farm for the country's pisciculture by putting its fish breeding on a scientific, intensive and industrial basis of high level," KCNA says in a dispatch.

Further reports have revealed that Kim roam around the facilities of the catfish farm. He reportedly commended the officials and workers of the farm for effectively restoring it while accomplishing their production responsibilities.

"He said that the farm has made a lot of achievements in the work to drastically raise the production of catfish without increasing manpower and production area, as instructed by him during his last year's visit," the state-run news agency adds.

On the other hand, Yahoo! News reported Dec, 6, 2014 that the North Korean leader provided field guidance to the catfish farm when he last visited it. During his last visit, the North Korean leader reportedly "called for raising a strong wind of bringing about a radical turn in fish farming on the basis of the experience and thus unconditionally and thoroughly carrying out the behest of Kim Jong Il," as reported by KCNA.
