Five South Koreans are among the 25 golfers considered the top earners of PGA Tour cards for the 2015-16 season of the Web.com Tour. Korean-American Michael Kim has earned his Tour card before the list was finalized on Sunday.

During his collegiate career, Kim played for the University of California, Berkeley and earned the name Pac-12 Men's Golfer of the Month in 2013. On the same year, Kim was chosen by the Golf Coaches Association of America as the recipient of the Jack Nicklaus Award.

He entered the team on season 2012-13 and helped the Bears dominate national surveys. However, Kim and his team did not win the NCAA Championship against the University of Illinois, according to an article posted by Korea Times on Wednesday.

Aside from Kim, four other South Korean players have earned their PGA Tour cards for season 2015-16. These are Kim Si Woo (highest ranked Korean golfer at 10), D.H. Lee, Sung Kang and another Korean-American Lucas Lee who has made history after earning his PGA Tour card.

"I'd been playing PGA TOUR Canada and some mini-tours for five or six years," Lee said. "To be honest, after my third year, I started thinking, When am I going to get out of there?"

"Once you play too many years on the mini-tours, I think you can get stuck there. You might feel like you're settled. You say you want to get out of there, but it's almost comfortable to be there. I think you can get lost on the mini-tours because you know the courses, you know what they feel like and maybe you don't push yourself as hard as you should."

Lee has admitted that although he has spent years with PGA Tour Canada, he has always wanted to try something different.

"I wanted something different, something that might motivate me to work harder to get something different out of the year. I worried about just going through the motions."

Meanwhile the other Web.com Tour's 25 top earners include Patton Kizzire, Martin Piller, Dawie van der Walt, Peter Malnati, Dicky Pride, Smylie Kaufman, Kelly Kraft, Wes Roach, Shane Bertsch, Abraham Ancer, Jamie Lovemark, Tyler Aldridge, Miguel Angel Carballo, Rod Pampling, Bronson Burgoon, Steve Marino, Darron Stiles, Andrew Landry, Patrick Rodgers and Harold Varner III.
