Tom Clancy's "The Division" closed beta will be delayed until Jan. 2016, according to Destructoid.

"The Division" is an upcoming third-person shooter role-playing game that has an open world element to it, according to sources. It has also survival elements added by the game developers. The game is developed by Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Massive, Ubisoft Reflections and Ubisoft Red Storm.

The game will be released on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. During the E3 event with Ubisoft on stage, the game company revealed the game to the audience.

Today, it was announced that "The Division" closed beta test will no longer be available just before the end of 2015. It will now be available in January next month. Those who have pre-ordered on Xbox One can try out the Alpha test which will take place this week from Dec. 9 to Dec. 12.

Customers who pre-ordered the game on Xbox One will be the first ones to get invites, according to Eurogamer.net. Other users who have registered through Ubisoft's website will get an invite as well. Ubisoft will be limiting videos of the gameplay and will only be posted in its own internal forums.

Since Tom Clancy's "The Division" closed beta testing will be delayed, sources said that it means there will be no livestreams. Unofficial versions will be taken down too.

The alpha test will be the first time anyone outside of Ubisoft will be able to play a version of the game that features more than just Dark Zone PvP areas, according to Gamespot.

"This means the moment you and other players sign into the game, you'll be giving us valuable insight into how our infrastructure performs under pressure that we can't replicate internally or at a tradeshow," explained the game developer in a blog post.

Players who will be able to sign in to the closed alpha will have to accept a non-disclosure agreement, according to Polygon. This agreement states that it will prohibit them from sharing any images or video of the alpha test. Tom Clancy's "The Division" beta test might have different rules in the future.
