'Agent Carter' Season 2 Premiere Postponed; Reason For The Delay Explained!

ABC announced that"Agent Carter" season two premiere will be two weeks delayed from original release date, according to IGN.

The reason for the re-schedule is to give the time slot for President Obama's State of the Union Address on Jan. 12, according to sources. "Agent Carter" season 2 premiere will instead be on Jan. 19 at 9pm to 11pm EST.

The new season premiere was announced to air on Jan. 5, and fans expected to watch a glimpse of its few episodes before the President's State of the Union Address. The nation's address was usually set in the last week of January however, U.S President Obama decided to have it earlier which made broadcast networks reschedule their shows, according to Deadline.

Marvel's "Agent Carter" season 2 premiere will link half episodes from the Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D," which will have its comeback on March 8. The upcoming new season will run for two hours that will show Hayley Atwell's character, Peggy, in an adventure to Los Angeles and her experiences in 1940s Hollywood with Jarvis.

The show will also introduce Marvel villains such as Whitney Frost, played by Wynn Everett, and more characters who are related to the Marvel Universe. It will also give fans more action within a powerful historical plot compared to the first season.

"Agent Carter" season 2 premiere is speculated to reveal Peggy's future love of her life as she will encounter possible romantic partners since Captain America's death, according to ScreenRant.

Hayley Atwell said, "It's a dialogue between the audience and the industry saying this is what we want and this is what we're ready for," according to Tech Times.

"I felt like the audience was speaking out," she added. "[And] I do hope that it will start a quiet revolution because the audience is there and they want it. It's time."
