IVE Drops "Be Alright" Music Video Ahead of Third Japanese EP Release
The K-pop sextet unveils a heartwarming music video showcasing member solidarity before their July 30 album launch.
K-pop group IVE has pre-released "Be Alright," the title track from their upcoming third Japanese EP, which officially drops on July 30, 2025. The accompanying music video presents a touching narrative centered around member Rei preparing for a crucial job interview.
The "Be Alright" video transforms IVE members into Rei's personal support network. As Rei struggles with pre-interview nerves, her bandmates appear as encouraging companions, helping her organize her space, select appropriate attire, and providing emotional support. The story follows them accompanying Rei to her interview, where they maintain their supportive presence throughout the process.
After the interview concludes and Rei experiences uncertainty about the outcome, she ultimately finds confidence by joining hands with her members, symbolizing collective strength and freedom from worry.
The track delivers "sugary sweet melodies over buoyant rhythm guitar and an energetic beat," maintaining IVE's signature upbeat pop sound. Group choreography sequences filmed in Rei's living space highlight the members' visual appeal and synchronized dance skills. Creative camera work from Rei's perspective adds a personal touch to the storytelling.
IVE demonstrates their characteristic confidence through scenes where members fearlessly express themselves through art and dance, even within the formal interview setting. A climactic sequence features the group dancing amid cascading clothes, representing liberation from external pressures.
IVE has maintained strong Japanese chart performance since their debut, with first album "WAVE" achieving #1 positions on Oricon Daily, Weekly Album Charts, Tower Records nationwide chart, and Billboard Japan Weekly Top Album Sales Chart. Their second Japanese album "ALIVE" similarly topped Oricon's Daily Album Chart upon release in August 2024 and secured 21st place on Billboard Japan's 2024 annual Hot Albums chart.
IVE made history as the first Korean artist to perform at K-Arena Yokohama during their "SHOW WHAT I HAVE" world tour. The group concluded their first world tour with sold-out Tokyo Dome concerts in September 2024, performing for 95,000 attendees over two consecutive nights.
The "Be Alright" EP will be available in ten versions: Limited I (CD+Blu-ray), Limited V (CD+Photobook), Limited E (CD+Photobook), Regular Edition, Limited Production Edition, and six member-specific Full Production Limited DIVE Edition versions exclusively for DIVE Japan members.
The release continues IVE's expansion into the Japanese market, building on their established success with previous Japanese releases and live performances.
