IU To Be Making Her Debut At The 2022 Cannes Film Festival With The Film 'Broker'

Just recently, media outlets reported that K-pop soloist and actress IU's upcoming movie "Broker" is slated to be featured at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival and the K-pop soloist is excited for her first stint at the film festival.

IU's movie "Broker" will be going against other films at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. The movie not only has IU in the cast, but also features the talents of Song Kang Ho, Gang Dong Won, Doona Bae, and Lee Joo Young.

Additionally, IU's "Broker" revolves around the story of a child and the relationships that form around the child. Viewers were truly amazed at the chemistry the film's cast had and are happy that the movie will be featured at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.

The "Broker" movie is directed by Japanese director Hirokazu Koreeda and will be his first outing in the Korean genre in film. Incredibly, "Broker" is Hirokazu Koreeda's eighth movie to be featured at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.

"Throughout filming for 'Broker' last spring, I learned so much and had been grateful for the unique experience," IU revealed.

Adding to this, director Hirokazu Koreeda had nothing but praises for IU as previously, the director noted, "How is this actress [IU] so mature and gracious? I am embarrassed to think that I was an immature kid who couldn't look adults in the eye at her age. I apologize if I ever made anyone uncomfortable. Even so, I am turning sixty."

The Cannes Film Festival is known as the most respected film festival in the world and being featured in it is a huge honor. Due to this, netizens and fans of the K-pop soloist are excited to see IU make her debut.
